Dr Iacopo Benesperi
Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr Iacopo Benesperi received his BSc in Materials Science from the Department of Chemistry, Pisa University, Italy, and his MSc in Materials Science from the Department of Chemistry, Turin University, Italy, under the supervision of Prof. Barolo. During his PhD in Chemistry at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, he worked on hole conducting materials for perovskite solar cells under the supervision of the late Prof. Spiccia, Dr. Simonov, Prof. Bach and Prof. Cheng. From 2018 to 2020 he has been a research fellow at Uppsala University, Sweden, in Dr. Freitag’s group, working on copper complex charge transport materials for thin-film solar cells and he is now a research fellow at Lund University, Sweden, permanently visiting Dr. Freitag’s group at Newcastle University to work on iron dye-based DSSCs.
